LashiMe Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 20, 2026 Last updated: April 20, 2026
LashiMe ("the App") is provided by the app operator. We take your privacy seriously. This policy describes how we may process information when you use the App, including permissions, third-party services, and your choices. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information we process
1.1 Health and usage data you create (stored mainly on your device)
The App helps you log bowel movements and related wellness notes. On your device we may process and store: check-in date and time, Bristol stool type, duration, notes; streaks, points, and level statistics; nickname, avatar-related display data, reminder settings, UI preferences (e.g. header theme, custom background); photos you take for check-ins (kept in the app's private storage for viewing on your device; this version does not upload such photos to us or third-party servers for analysis).
When you use NFC check-in or manage tags, we read the tag's hardware identifier (e.g. tag ID) and any name, quick action, or configuration you set in the App.
This version does not offer sign-in or sync your health records to our own servers. Uninstalling the app or clearing data may erase local records.
1.2 Device permissions
We request permissions only as needed (names may vary by Android version):
• NFC: detect tags and read identifiers for tap-to-check-in and tag management. • Camera: optional photos during check-in; stored locally. • Photos / external storage (as applicable): pick images from gallery for custom header or avatar; only images you select. • Approximate location: coarse location for nearby weather from a weather API and display on Home. • Internet & network status: weather and connectivity checks. • Notifications (Android 13+): local scheduled reminders when you enable them. • Boot completed: reschedule reminders after reboot. • Exact alarms: trigger reminders on time where supported (subject to OEM policy). • Foreground service & notifications: when you use timed sessions (e.g. bowel-movement timer), a foreground service may run and show an ongoing notification. • Display over other apps (overlay): if you grant the system permission, a floating timer may appear during sessions; without it, that UI may be unavailable while data still stays mainly on-device. • Vibrate: for reminders or light haptic feedback where applicable. • Home screen widgets & quick settings tiles: after you accept this policy, shortcuts may show or trigger the same on-device features; they do not upload your check-in details to our servers.
You can revoke permissions in system settings; dependent features may stop working.
1.3 "Health tips"
Health tips may combine Bristol type, recorded duration (if any), and similar inputs using on-device rules. In this version, that does not rely on uploading photos or logs to the cloud for real-time third-party analysis. If we introduce online services that upload your data later, we will update this policy and obtain separate consent where required.
2. How we use information
To provide and improve check-in, calendar, points, reminders, NFC, weather display, and sharing helpers; to compute and show statistics and personalization locally; and to meet legal obligations and protect rights.
This version does not integrate ad SDKs or use your health logs for ad targeting beyond what this policy states.
3. Third parties and transfer
3.1 Weather (Open-Meteo)
With approximate location and network, the App may call Open-Meteo's public API (typically including lat/lon derived from coarse location). See https://open-meteo.com/
City names may use Android Geocoder; behavior depends on your device.
3.2 System share
Content you share through the system sheet is chosen by you; recipient apps have their own policies.
3.3 No proprietary backend sync (this version)
Aside from requests needed for weather and similar features, this version does not upload your detailed check-ins or photo contents to our servers for account storage. If we add accounts or cloud sync later, we will update this policy.
4. Storage, backup, and security
Data is kept mainly in private app storage and local databases/preferences. The App may participate in Android backup (see system settings). If you export a backup file, you are responsible for storing it. We apply reasonable safeguards, but no storage or transmission is perfectly secure.
5. Retention and deletion
We retain local data as needed while you use the App. You can manage data in the App or by uninstalling; uninstall usually deletes private app data (system/cloud backup may retain copies per device behavior).
6. Minors
If you are a minor, use the App with a guardian's guidance.
7. Changes
We may update this policy for features or legal reasons and notify you in the App. Continued use may mean acceptance of updates where allowed by law.
